Potato: biology and elements of growing technology

The book describes the morphological characteristics of potatoes (Solanumtuberosum L.), points out the biological features related to growing conditions, the biochemical composition of potato tubers and the main culinary indicators, highlights the main elements of growing technology and the optimal parameters of storage conditions for grown products, requirements for seed quality parameters. In separate sections are covered the issues of additional nutrition of potato plants with macro- and micro-fertilizers, the influence of the methods and terms of application of growth regulators and the influence of foliar fertilization on the yield accumulation and improvement of quality indicators, the effectiveness of their complex application in economic indicators on the background of basic nutrition and nutrition with organic and organo-mineral fertilizers.
