Polymeric nanoadsorbent and heavy metal removal

Application of nanomaterials for heavy metal removal from water/wastewater has come up as an interesting area of research. The unique properties of nanosorbents have proven advantageous over traditional adsorbents and are presented unprecedented opportunities for the removal of metals in highly efficient and cost-effective approaches. Various nanoparticles have been exploited for this purpose and exhibited good adsorption efficiency especially due to large surface areas, a short diffusion length, which result in high adsorption capacity, more multiple sites for interaction or adsorption with metallic species. Also, this book focused on preparation and investigation of polymeric nanoadsorbent. The resulted adsorbents were analyzed properly and adsorption experiments carried out due to proof the application of sorbents.
