Policies for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plans

Disaster is an abnormal phenomenon which can occur anywhere anytime, only mitigations can minimize the loss of life and livelihoods. For developing countries, a proper governance system is very important to minimize the loss, mitigate and prepare the early warning system on national level. Absence of governance system for disaster risk reduction may hit with the bitter loss of life and livelihoods. This study is about how the national governance is dealing in Pakistan for mitigating measures, early warning system, disaster risk reduction, financial issue and response and recovery plans. The historical earthquake has been spatially distributed on the boundaries of Pakistan with the comparison of existing population.
