Play with science

Joing the science club and science centers , children deal with various scientific topics , mainly from biology , but also chemistry and physics . The concept follows the notion of the constructivist approach to learning , which views learning as an active process which has to be carried out by the children themselves . Teachers cannot simply transfer knowledge , but rather have to provide opportunities for learning to take place , each child has to construct an individual understanding of a particular (scientific ) context based on their own experiences and prior knowledge by articulating , discussing and exploring their ideas . The club incorporates problem based learning by which children get to know basic scientific working methods.
