Pipelines Condition Monitoring

Maintenance of the pipeline is the great concern of all oil companies Leakage must be detected before occur [to prevent oil spill, pollution and ecological disaster. Thus, reliable and sensitive pipe line condition monitoring is desirable to predict leakage and other failure modes e.g. holes, cracks etc. Those defects are likely to be industrial and has not been disclosed during the manufacture period or because of that these pipelines might pass through varied terrains and therefore their conditions will vary accordingly. However, inspecting the entire pipelines through specific methodology/tool cannot detect pipeline problems for the entire length or throughout their life cycle.
