Phytochemical and pharmacological investigations on 'keshya' herbs

This book is meant for helping researchers of Pharmacognosy ,botany or plant sciences and the findings revealed methods for isolation of effective phytoconstituents and shows pathway for development of effective agent for treatment of Lice,male pattern baldness and male infertility.It also contain phytopharmacological literature review of G. glabra, A. precatorius and Z. mauritiana.The natural herbal extracts were used in the studies scientifically. The herbs Glycyrrhiza glabra, Abrus precatorius and Ziziphus mauritiana are called Keshya or hair growth promoter in ancient Indian Literature. So their efficacy was evaluated by conducting various experiments in wistar albino rats and the herbal extracts were also analysed for presence of various phytoconstituents.
