Phenomenology of Religion

Religion is both a human internal experience and external phenomenon. Religion being part of human society, there is a great need to understand the meaning of religion as it forms the basis for human actions and fundamental decision making for most people. As a result, various scholars from different disciplines have endeavored to unveil the meaning of religion but from the point of view of their own academic backgrounds. Since religion forms a discipline in its own right, phenomenology of religion as part of religious studies is well placed as a method of grasping the meaning of religion as explained in this text.
