Pharmacological Approaches of Betulinic acid in ALS

This study was carried out to detect whether the Betulinic acid could decrease the symptoms and could reach until the efficacy of the standard drug. According to the result, Betulinic acid showed significant improvement in the ASL model of the rat. Body weight, behavioral parameters and other parameters showed that Betulinic acid played a crucial role in the management of the ALS disease. Since, few parameters were not up to mark as compare to standard drug but still the proficiency of the drug could not be minimized. As per other markers such as TNF-alpha, Rotarod, Forced swim test and Morris water maze test, the test drug showed a great and significant improvement as compare to the control and vehicle control. As the results shows the management of the Betulinic acid was significant and could be further analyze by the other toxicity studies.
