Performance evaluation of bullock drawn planter

Present status of farm mechanization in India considering improved animal drawn implements. More than 80 percent farmers depend upon animal drawn implements. Improved implement increases the output and quality of work. The improved ¿Jyoti Multicrop Planter¿ is one of the best planter. It is used for planting various crops like Groundnut, Soybean, Gram, Jowar, Maize, Sunflower, etc. The developed Bullock drawn Jyoti Multicrop planter was tested on the field to evaluate its performance after the laboratory test. The data collected during this test were analyzed and results shows that the seed rate and fertilizer rate at laboratory test and field test matches and within the optimum range for groundnut crop. The per cent seed damage (3.01 per cent) was negligible. Which saves the valuable seed material.
