Performance assessment of Jurala Command area - RS and GIS

This text book covers the work done regarding selection of important distributories, growing of paddy and ID crops under Jurala Command Area and assessment of performance of the same through performance indicators like like Supply Demand Ratio, Over all Consumption Rate (OCR) and Water Utilization Index (WUI)to describe performance of irrigation schemes in different dimensions for the benefit of decision-makers. The temporal and spatial variations of such indicators will help in improving the efficiency of the irrigation system.It also covers application of remote sensing and GIS techniques to study and assess performance of the project. Such studies periodically will improve the efficiency of irrigation projects in Andhra Pradesh and elsewhere in the country.
