People's Attitude on Single-use Plastic Carry Bags: A Study

There is no second thought, plastics make our life easy and comfortable. Economically cheapest material to produce and saves ¿N¿ number of lives. Plastic carry bags and plastic used for packaging the products take more than half of the total plastic waste generated at the global level. Almost all the plastic carry bags are thrown away in the street. Those plastic carry bags are having a very short life span on the hands of man, but more than 500 years on the earth. This book tries to assess the behavior of the people on single-use plastic carry bags and joins hands with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan unit of our college to find a practical alternative to single-use plastic carry bags. This book discusses the introductory concepts and methodology of the study in the first chapter. Chapter two portrays the theoretical framework and review of important earlier works. The impact of plastics on the environment is discussed in chapter three. Chapter four analyzes the primary data collected for the study. Chapter five tries to find the alternatives available for plastic carry bags. Findings, suggestions, and conclusion are portrayed in chapter six.
