People with disabilities and their fundamental right

The text covers the issue of disability in the work environment in Colombia and how national legislation provides special protection for workers with disabilities, making them holders of the fundamental right to enhanced job stability. Specifically, it analyses the case of a group of women with disabilities who worked in a State entity and who simultaneously lost their jobs despite enjoying this fundamental right. The analysis does not focus exclusively on the disassociation of this group of women, since the actions of protection that some of these workers established with the purpose of having the judges protect their fundamental rights and arrange for their reinstatement in the State entity are also being studied, as well as the effectiveness of this constitutional action.
