Cancer ranks second only to trauma as a cause of childhood mortality. A child has more years of life to be lost or gained as a result of cancer than any adult with cancer. Hence it is important for the clinicians involved in the diagnosis & treatment of pediatric head & neck tumours to understand certain of the patterns that follow the development of these lesions, so that misdiagnosis & delays in treatment can be avoided. This book attempts to add to the subject in that direction by reviewing the status and progression of literature, classifications and typologies associated with Oral and Maxillofacial tumors in children.
