Pediatric Infectious Diseases Course

Pediatric infectiology is a very broad field of knowledge in the pathologies of the child. It can range from infections in general pediatrics to specialty areas. This textbook is made for medical students and pediatric residents. Pediatric Infectious Diseases is very little covered in books compared to other pediatric specialties. This textbook covers several courses of pediatric infectious diseases including acute and chronic fever, but also different types of meningitis and meningoencephalitis, viral hepatitis, AIDS, infections in immune deficiency, parasitic diseases (malaria, bilharzia, hydatidosis, amoebiasis, visceral leishmaniasis), infectious arthritis, osteomyelitis, infectious emergencies (septic shock, purpura fulminas, toxic shock syndrome, food poisoning). In each course, we find detailed clinical elements, complementary examinations, etiological diagnosis and therapeutic management.
