Paul's Damascus Road Experience and its Relevance to Pastoral Ministry

Sewakpo's good knowledge of the New Testament Greek is clearly shown in four of the chapters, especially in critical textual analysis and interpretation.It is a critical study of both the Greek and English texts of the accounts of Paul¿s conversion in the Acts of the Apostles and Galatians; as well as the validity of this unusual experience and its impact on his call, missionary activities and selfless pastoral service. The critical analysis and exegesis of the texts were thorough and original. The study was appropriately applied to various current problems facing Methodist Church Nigeria in Lagos area in relation to pastoral ministry. He offered as solution the need for every pastor to have a personal encounter with Christ and to be called by God like Paul before entering into pastoral ministry.
