Partnering with African Communities for HIV and AIDS Prevention: Researching the concepts of partnership in two Ghanaian communities is an exploration of the traditional concepts of partnership in the La and Nsawam-Adoajiri communities of Ghana. It includes an analysis of the western concept of partnership in a social service context, as well as descriptions of the concepts of partnership from the perspectives of the two communities studied. This research report further discusses the implications of the concepts of partnership in the two communities for HIV and AIDS prevention and care, and makes step by step recommendations for building effective partnerships with African traditional societies.
