Partial Extraction Therapy Techniques'-A Review

With long term preservation of optimum health, function and aesthetics of dental implants being the foremost goal in implant dentistry, Partial Extraction Therapy Techniques¿s since their inception in 2007, have brought about a paradigm shift in an understanding of treatment methods and preservation of bone and periodontal structures following tooth extraction by providing the best suited conditions for before and after implant placements, especially in the anterior aesthetic zone. This review not only provides an evidence of the efficiency of various PET techniques¿, but also a comprehensive insight of the biology ,the reasoning and rationale behind choosing PET techniques¿ as a viable treatment option in aesthetically demanding and challenging situations where conventional modalities might be inadequate in delivering the best results.
