As a tax professional, the author is typically exposed to a myriad of tax related issues and court cases ¿ prosecutions of defaulting parties by tax authorities or appeals by companies with respect to unjust tax impositions. In instances where evasion could be reasonable ruled out, most of the cases could have been avoided through better taxation knowledge or practices. In some, the knowledge or practice required are so rudimentary, that it is a thing of wonder how business owners or members of management could have missed it. He believes that the majority of tax related issues stem from the manners in which most companies and their tax advisers receive or communicate tax information.
