OPEN AND DISTANCE LEARNING (ODL): A CASE STUDY OF RAJA PEARY MOHAN COL

Open and Distance Learning (ODL) is an approach which promote an access to open education and training provision, learners being unconstrained of time and place, and provision of flexibility in learning opportunities to individuals and learners concerned. ODL provide opportunities for the students or learners in the context of accessibility and flexibility as well as in work and education. It provides means towards learner-centric approach and enriching higher quality through new ways of interaction ODL systems constitutes of components which include objectives of a particular system, programmes and curricula, strategies and techniques of teaching and learning, material and resources of learning, communication and interaction, system providing support and delivery, students, teachers, staff and other experts, management, housing and infrastructure, and evaluation.
