On Estimation Methods for Power Function and Rayleigh Distributions

1. Objective of the study:To estimate parameters for Power Function and Rayleigh Distributions by using Lest Square Regression method and Median Ranks Regression method.2. Methodology & Results: The present study has five chapters.This chapter deals with General Introduction, Problems of Investigation. Mathematical and Statistical preliminaries required for mathematical derivations in the subsequent chapters are also included in Chapter I..Chapter II is to discuss about Estimation of Location (¿) and Scale (¿) for Two-Parameter Rayleigh Distribution by Median Rank Regression Method.Chapter III describes the Estimation of Location (¿) and Scale (¿) for Two-Parameter Rayleigh Distribution by Least Square Regression Method.Chapter IV explains the Estimation of Scale and Shape Parameters of Power Function Distribution by Median Ranks Regression Method using Optimally Constructed Grouped Data.Chapter V deals with Estimation of Scale and Shape Parameters of Power Function Distribution by least squares method using optimally Constructed Grouped Data
