With adherence to sound principles in case selection and techniques, pediatric pulp therapy is a major health benefit to the child. It has been found that the current obturating materials for primary teeth while providing satisfactory clinical results still need to be modified to suit the various clinical situation that are encountered. Hence, researches have to be done further to develop a root canal filling material for primary teeth that meets all the essential needs of ideal obturating materials. The selection of appropriate obturating material is crucial in successful endodontic therapy.
