Obstacles to the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises

Throughout the world, there have always been objective and historical reasons for the establishment of SMEs, in addition to development policies and strategies. The reasons for this interest are particularly related to the role of this category of enterprises in socio-economic development. If the company thinks about innovation, it enters a circle of renewal that ensures its existence, because it will always be looking for new strategies, due to their capacity to generate wealth and employment, the relatively low level of investment required to launch them, their ability to adapt to technological developments, to respond flexibly to the needs of certain markets and to enhance the value of local resources or even to promote the gradual integration of the industrial fabric. A wide range of financing methods are used by banks and specialized financial institutions. With the exception of exceptional cases of 100% self-financing of its investment project, a company (SME or large company), especially a start-up, does not carry out its project solely with its own funds.
