Nutritive Value of Zea mays L. by Different Nutrient Management System

Authors focus on the study of nutritive value of kharif and rabi baby corn (Zea mays L.) by using different nutritive value. Effect of different treatments of urea, vermicopost and poultry manure with their different combinations were observed on different quality parameters viz. recommended dose of nitrogen, carbohydrate, protein, fats, ash and moisture in cob in kharif and rabi baby corn. The given study revealed that better availability of N increases the formation of nitrogen containing protein and this protein formation competes strongly for photosynthesis thus higher rates of poultry manure depressed the seed oil content. The main purpose of this work is to understand the effect of different manure on some quality parameters of baby corn.
