Noninvasive therapies on symptoms of the calcaneal spur

Physiotherapy is an alternative method for pharmacology and surgery on heel spur (HS). It includes kinesiotherapy, orthoses, corticosteroid therapy, and electrotherapy, but their efficacy remains controversial. Systematic reviews suggest, that therapeutic ultrasound (US) and extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) have been frequently used for patients with HS. People treated with US or ESWT for HS can achive significant health benefits in pain reduction and improvement in quality of life. This book provides scientific results of own and other Authors¿ experiences based on systematic reviews. The proofs in this book will become a contribution to improving the therapeutic effects and the health benefits in patients suffering from HS.
