Noise Pollution Levels in Peripheral Areas

The development of this research is due to the problem that society faces, noise pollution and the damage it causes to health through prolonged exposure to this type of pollution. The competent authorities must minimize these damages by generating less noisy technologies and developing protection systems against this type of contamination.the present research work was carried out in 4 zones: Afilador, Castillo Grande, "Los Laureles" housing association and Naranjillo in the province of Leoncio Prado, with the objective of evaluating the noise contamination levels in the peripheral zone of Tingo María. In order to reach the proposed objective, continuous equivalent sound pressure level (LAeqT) and vehicle traffic measurements were made, taking 4 monitoring points per zone in the main streets, and evaluated in daytime (12:00 - 15:00 hours) and nighttime (22:01 - 01:00 hours) shifts.
