No-frill Airlines & Tourism Development

This book is an outcome of research conducted by Prosenjit Ghosh under the guidance of Mir Abdul Sofique in the University of Burdwan, West Bengal, India. India is one of the prime tourist attractions to the world tourist communities. Transportation is the key segment of tourism business. Air Transport has a major role to play in promotion of Tourism in a vast country like India. No-frill airlines(LCCs) are helping to reach remote tourist destinations of eastern India including North-East India, where LCCs are the key mode of transportation for the tourists. All the relevant issues have been addressed to examine the impact of LCCs for the development of Tourism in a highly potential region of the South Asia by the authors.
