This book in the continuity of the first volume depicts the different aspects of the new Francophonie in Bursa, Turkey. Bursa is a city that has attracted travelers and writers for centuries. Among them the great poet and writer of the 19th century Alphone de Lamartine during his trip to Turkey in 1849 expresses his impressions of it in these terms "Bursa, the first capital of the Turks and the last station at the end of Asia before passing into Europe, is also a holy city of Islam. It is built on the levels of Mount Olympus closest to the plain and the sea; the snows of the mountain water it with the perpetual flow of their glaciers, its forests refresh it with their shade, the waters of the Taurus volcanoes flow into its boiling springs where the sick of Asia and Europe come to seek and regain their health.
