NEW APPLICATIONS IN WOUND TREATMENT: NANOTECHNOLOGICAL WOUND DRESSING

Nanotechnology can be defined as the science and engineering of changing the properties of materials with changes in atomic dimensions in order to go beyond the natural structure, improve and provide properties not found in nature. Substances behave differently at the nanoscale. Nanotechnology is basically a facilitating and enabling technology field between sectors and disciplines. The sectors most affected by nanotechnology are health and biomedical sciences, environment and water, electronics, aerospace, defense, automotive, food and beverage and agriculture, construction and structural materials, cosmetics, textiles, and sports. With the increasing interaction of nanotechnology with biomedical sciences, alternative medical applications have developed and there are promising developments in the field of health.As the author, I hope to be a contribution to the field and the literature.
