Neuropsychology in an Orphan Disease

Psychology together with Clinical Neuropsychology have been protagonists in various fields such as health, proposing and developing different methods of evaluation and intervention to describe and analyze behavioral, cognitive, emotional and motivational variables in both cognitive and mental disorders. Thanks to this professional practice, today we can talk about prevention, treatment and rehabilitation as a purpose to improve the quality of life of patients suffering from a special condition, such as many of the now called rare or orphan diseases that affect a minority in Colombia. For the above mentioned, the need to make a contribution from the academic and clinical to Colombian population to describe the neuropsychological characteristics in women with Fabry disease, in order to evaluate their cognitive status, to account at the neuropsychological level of each of their higher psychological processes and to think in the future, to improve their quality of life from this point is born.
