Neglected Diseases & Neglected Children: Health and Poverty Linkages

The nexus between health and poverty is widely recognized by several health and social scholars; as disease is considered to be one of the triggers for pervasive poverty particularly in the developing world. Neglected disease like lymphatic filariasis (LF) exist within the context of poverty, and because of its debilitating consequences on health and quality of life (QoL); it contribute significantly to the ongoing incapacity of affected individuals to escape poverty.
