Chapter I describes the synthetic studies towards Amphidinolide E. The THF Core was synthesized stereoselectively by applying Mercury mediated cyclisation as the key steps. The diene chain of the molecule was synthesized following stille coupling reaction. Chapter II explains Synthesis of Various kind of acetogenins and the bis-THF core of Acetogenins was synthesized stereoselectively by mercury mediated cyclisation.
