Nasal masses: A Comprehensive Approach to Diagnosis and Management

The nose is the most prominent part of the face with substantial aesthetic and functional significance. It is one of the few organs of body invested with an aura of emotional and cultural importance. Anatomical location of the nose and its passage have been regarded as the direct avenue to the brain, man's source of intelligence and spirituality. Masses in the nasal cavity are quite a common condition encountered by ENT surgeons in their clinical practice, yet it still remains a challenge to diagnose and treat the condition as aetiology and pathogenesis is still controversial in many cases. A detailed history, meticulous clinical examination, radiological examination and histopathological examination, when pertinent are essential part of work up of patients, so that correct and timely intervention is done. The study is aimed at analyzing the clinical features of variety of nasal masses, their clinicopathological and clinicoradiological correlation and the various treatment options available at our disposal.
