Attempt is made to provide information on useful aspects of Nardostachys jatamansi e.g. utilization pattern, population status, conservation, eco-physiology, phenology, reproductive biology, propagation methods, seed storage behavior, nursery technique, season and method of transplantation, spacing, irrigation methods, crop maintenance, yield, post harvest management, change in chemical constituents during storage, etc. Such information can also be applied directly on other MAPs, whenever, large scale production is desired.
