N-Heterocyclics as Anti-inflammatory Agents

Current era needs newer potent analogs to combat inflammation since most of the clinically used anti-inflammatory agents possess serious adverse effects. This book summarizes the synthesis, characterization and anti-inflammatory potential of N-heterocyclic analogs containing pyrimidine, pyrazole, quinazoline and imidazole nucleus. Spectroscopic analysis (IR, NMR and Mass) along with docking studies of most promising compounds of each series were also discussed. This study is an attempt to bring about the promising anti-inflammatory activity of N-heterocyclic analogs that can also be useful in establishing the structure activity relationships and for the development of newer and more potent anti-inflammatory compounds.
