It has underscored the importance of health and hygiene, and the need for sustainable development that meets the needs of current generations without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. As we look to rebuild, we must seize the opportunity to build back better. The tourism sector is a major contributor to GDP and employment in India, and it has the potential to drive inclusive economic growth and foster sustainable development. To realize this potential, we must adopt a holistic approach that considers the environmental, social, and economic dimensions of sustainable development. We must also mainstream sustainability into all aspects of planning and policymaking.
