Multimodal Transport Service

The study investigates the effects of multimodal transport service on the operational performance of Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Service Enterprise (ESLSE), the sole provider of such services in the country. Primary data was collected through a questionnaire survey from a sample size of 111 employees. The collected data was analyzed using quantitative research methods, including multiple regression analysis. The results show a positive correlation between modern technology, coordination and integration, and service time with the overall operational performance of multimodal transport service. The study suggests that investments in road infrastructure, railway, dry port terminal expansion, and modernized machinery and facilities are essential for improving the operational performance of multimodal transport services.
