Motivational Factor As A Correlate of Librarian's Job Satisfaction

Organizational effectiveness is largely determined by the quality of the employees and how the organization develops them. Therefore, it is natural that high performing organizations try to recruit and retain the right people and provide them with training and professional development opportunities.However,abilities,skills, personality and organizational support alone might not lead to individual job performance that contributes to overall organizational effectiveness if people are not motivated.Librarians as workers in the university libraries need to be motivated so as to enhance productivity. The relevance of job satisfaction and motivation are very crucial to the long-term growth of any educational system around the world.One can then infer that if librarians in Nigerian universities are satisfied,they will be productive in their work.
