MORAL CODE FOR DRUG ADDICTS

Although it is true that drug addicts are aware of the consequences of the use and abuse of hallucinogenic substances, many do nothing to change their attitude towards the problem, which requires health care. The problem of addictions is complex to deal with and in order to achieve success, the social field must be analyzed with the purpose of achieving changes from the perspective of the individual and the family.The consumption of psychoactive substances has been linked to the pretension of individuals to change their level of consciousness, their state of mind or their use as medicine to attenuate anguish and suffering. The moral code is a set of norms and values aimed at ensuring that drug-dependent people get the help they need, but at the same time that they do their part to get out of the situation they are in. Although many are not interested in doing anything to change the situation in which they find themselves, they should understand that it is not only personal harm that they cause themselves, but that behind this situation there is suffering in their family environment, and a selfish attitude does nothing to help find practical solutions for individuals immersed in drug addiction and for society by making the necessary corrections so that people can live healthy lives.The Code is aimed at guiding and identifying rights, responsibilities and obligations for all actors, both individuals and entities in charge of ensuring a better quality of life for citizens.
