Monitoring and Treatment of Effluent Water for Maintaining BOD level

The main aim of the study was to analyze the Industrial Effluent generated from the industry & canal water's suitability for domestic use. The sample of combined industrial effluent was collected and analyzed for relevant parameters for maintaining BOD levels. Standard Methods for the Examination of water and wastewater 20th edition, 1988. by APHA, American Public Health Association. The sample of combined industrial effluent was collected and analyzed for relevant parameters for maintaining BOD levels; it was observed that all the pollutants in the treated wastewater are well below the prescribed standards i.e the treatment system being used in the industry is quite satisfactory. The sample of canal water was also collected and analyzed for chemical suitability for domestic use and factory use.
