Monitoring and Evaluation of Implementation of Cabinet Decisions

Cabinet Decisions are the main instruments through which the Executive provides strategic direction for both State and Non-State Sectors. The Decisions are generated by Cabinet during their weekly Meetings. These are then transmitted to the Ministers, Ministers of State and Permanent Secretaries, for Implementation.The Government of Uganda through the various Public Service Reforms Programmes has put in place measures for professionalising the Public Service.The measures emphasize use of structured and systematic technical processes in all aspects of the Service. Monitoring and Evaluation of implementation of Cabinet Decisions followed the structured and systematic process.This Report presents proceedings of the first Meeting aimed at documenting available information and good practices that can be used to enhance monitoring and evaluation of implementation of Cabinet Decisions. This aims at securing better impact out of the decisions.
