Applications of this project are to identify the genetic polymorphism between the intraspecific crosses of the plants and also to identify the disputed plant varieties. So that, plant breeder¿s intellectual property rights can be protected. Many molecular markers have been developed and are the powerful tools for successful plant breeding. SSR and ISSR are such molecular markers used in my project. Kits can be developed along with the markers and other related enzymes, in order to identify the Capsicum annum varities.
