Module Based Pest Management of Okra by Positioning Cluster bean

The book has been designed to provide some brief information about the field effectiveness of various novel insecticides commercially available in Indian market against major chewing and sucking insect pests of vegetables. Comparison has been done among different management schedules including common farmers' practice in order to focus on bio-rational pest management of okra. The role of cluster bean on overall load of target insect pests in okra has been judiciously tailored with special reference to trap crop of leaf roller and an excellent reservoir of natural enemies. Oscillation of major arthropod fauna (pests and defenders) with respect to various abiotic factors has also been documented in the book. In view of the changing scenario in pest appearances and cropping pattern, the newer molecules with novel modes of action can be of much helpful to develop strategy for managing pests in vegetables like okra.
