Modernisation in multi-ethnic societies

The collection includes articles by the author from various years dealing with the specifics of Russian modernisation. In the author's view, the main factor in Russia's protracted and painful modernisation has been its original multi-ethnicity and multi-confessional character. The paper analyses the process of transformation and renewal of ethno-national cultures as a result of their adaptation to the modernisation changes taking place in Russian society.
