Four newborn abiotic stress parameters, symbolized as SSI, ¿, bz, and bt, were identified, discussed, and nominated as Hegazy Abiotic Stress Parameters (HASP). The term bz is responsible for shaping the curvature of SSI in the root domain and causing the gradual response which enhances plant survival throughout alternatated wetting and drying cycles. The term bt plays a vital role in determining the moisture regime for deficit irrigation scenarios, without a tangible reduction in crop yield. Lastly, SSI or ¿ dictate the type and amount of uptake in accordance to stress or stress, strain, and weather-induced forces, respectively.
