Mob Violence & Dentolegal Issues

The recent trend of mob violence against medical institutions is very disturbing and needs to be condemned. It is usually the result of a breakdown or lack of proper communication between the doctor and the patient and his relatives. Hospital service does not match patient¿s expectations, there is inadequate commitment to service quality by the hospital, hospital service delivery falls short, patient¿s needs are not kept in mind causing unpleasantness between the doctor and the hospital. Invariably mob violence has now become a norm (reaction) against any bad news (usually death of the patient). The relatives tend to think that not enough has been done to save the life of the patient by the doctor and the anger built up due to these results in mob violence. This book highlights this important subject and how to manage the same.
