Midazolam mucoadhesive microemulsion was successfully prepared with the use of polymer chitosan and oils by phase titration method. which promotes the release for an extended period there by allowing for once daily dosing. From the in-vitro release study it was concluded that as concentration of chitosan is increased above or below the optimized concentration, the drug release rate was decreased.
