Microfinance Services and the Economic Development of Young Adults

This study is about microfinance services provided in Burundi, their impact on the economic growth of young adults; the study focused on the period from 2010 to 2014. The author used a mixed approach in data collection, after analyzing and interpreting collected using SPSS and themes from the questionnaire and interview guide respectively, the researcher concluded that microfinance services are helping young adults by providing several financial services. But there are other facilities to be provided by MFIs to young people to boost their economic activities, and the researcher recommended: improvement of the services provided to young people, provision of starting capital, creating a government funds for young entrepreneurs, among others.
