Micro Finance and Its Impact on Women Empowerment

Micro-finance has been successfully used as development tool to reduce poverty in many countries. Micro-finance is recognized as powerful instrument in poverty reduction. At present micro finance is being increasingly used in the form of development strategy for achieving development goals. Mainly the targeted groups of micro-finance are small farmers and rural poor woman. Micro-finance services through cooperative targeted to women clients have opened up lots of avenues of empowering them. The significant social impacts, increased awareness, confidence and living in a more dignified life itself and somehow the improvement in economic level are remarkable achievements in the field of poverty reduction and women empowerment thus cannot viewed only with the strategy of successful micro-finance.
