A new type of feed was formulated for poultry birds in order to develop low cost feed with better potentiality. Freshwater filamentous algae, Chara fragilis, Cladophora glomerata, Enteromorpha procera and Spirogyra ellipsospora was threrefore used as supplement in poultry feed. Communities of these algae are found in large quantity in Bund Murad Khan area of river Hub, Kalri lake and Jhampir area of Sindh.
