Learning theories are not just academic concept but very essential in developing sound principles and framework of result-oriented learning. These give the foundation for proficient teaching methods in the communication of significant learning information to meet the needs of both the trainee, trainer, and curriculum. General Practitioners and Paediatricians occupy the fulcrum of healthcare service delivery for babies, children, and young people in any climes. Stakeholders of both trainee groups can benefit from collaboration and synergy using evaluation model to improve training delivery. Different evaluation models are reported in association with various underpinning theories and an analysis of how educational programs and possible collaboration between the two specialties can relate.Reflection and reflective practice can be a tool and strategy to enhance and maintained learning, empathy, and professionalism, personal reflection in General practice is synonymous to appraisal and inspection of their experience and practice for the benefit of learning and development. In contrast there is an overwhelming distaste for current structure of e-portfolio for written reflection.
